Fishing is part of Norway’s cultural DNA, enjoyed by around 42% of the population each year. The Norwegian Association of Hunters and Anglers (NJFF) is the country’s only nationwide organisation for anglers and hunters, representing more than 110,000 members. Active in both freshwater and marine environments, NJFF works to secure viable fish stocks, affordable access, and sustainable use of natural resources, supported by strong volunteer engagement, youth programmes, and habitat restoration.
