Founded in 1880, the Ribiška zveza Slovenije (RZS) represents over 12,000 members and manages Slovenian freshwaters on behalf of the State. With a long tradition of sustainable fisheries management, RZS combines habitat protection, youth education, scientific cooperation, and policy representation – an approach recognised by its status as an organisation of public interest in nature conservation.
