With more than one in ten citizens fishing each year, Denmark is a true angling nation. Danmarks Sportsfiskerforbund represents 121 angling clubs and around 18,800 members, working to secure healthy fish stocks, restore rivers, and ensure anglers’ voices are heard in fisheries legislation. Through hands-on habitat restoration, strong volunteer engagement, and close cooperation with local communities, the association highlights the social and environmental value of recreational angling in Denmark.
